The possibility of taking courses from bachelor's and master's degree programmes has been introduced: only if they are needed to fill any gaps in training relating to skills useful for the research activity of the individual doctoral student and subject to tutor approval, up to a maximum total of 6 CFU (calculated according to the convention of the course being taken, which can also be divided between several courses). For credits to be recognised, prior authorisation from the tutor is required, who must provide approval by email, to be forwarded to phd.dief@ingind.unifi.it, and inform the professor teaching the course to record attendance.
In addition, PhD students may attend courses offered by the DINFO and DICEA PhD programmes as internal courses, thus expanding the options available. Some of these courses include a form of final assessment (questionnaire, project or oral exam), so it is advisable to check the procedures in advance and decide whether or not to participate. As always, attendance must be recorded in order for credits to be recognised.

Although teaching at Athenaeum level must be 'face-to-face', in order to facilitate doctoral students who cannot physically attend courses because they are unable to do so (e.g. due to periods abroad, etc.), it is possible to ask the course organiser if it is possible to participate at a distance.

Therefore, if this modality is activated, in order to participate remotely, you are required to communicate this intention to the course organiser, with your Tutor, CV co-ordinator, PhD co-ordinator and Benedetta (phd.dief@ingind.unifi.it) in cc, specifying the reason (because abroad/because in a company, because of incompatibility with a mission timetable... etc.).

The organiser will then send you the link to attend the course/seminar.

For professors: To propose a new course, please write to phd.dief@ingind.unifi.it

It is also necessary to:

- fill in the attendance register for doctoral students (ask to phd.dief@ingind.unifi.it);

- create a teaching register (for internal professors) in the appropriate application.
